Hefei Preschool Education College is located in the Yaohai district of northeast Hefei. This area is a designated “education zone” of the city with a number of colleges and universities located in this area. The sixty-six acre campus, surrounding a small lake, has a spacious feel with plenty of greenspace between each of the dormitories and academic buildings. The classrooms are varied with larger lecture halls, language labs, art studios, music rooms, simulated preschool classrooms, and smaller, intimate seminar-style rooms. The modern library holds a collection of 300,000 volumes including early childhood literature in English. The physical education facilities include tennis courts, an outdoor track and an attractive gymnasium in the design of the famous “Temple of Heaven” in Beijing. The dormitories are able to house the entire student body and there is a newly completed conference center with “western style amenities” whose purpose is to accommodate international students and teachers on short or long term stays on the campus.
